Shankari's Vision

People often ask me where my jewellery comes from.

The truth is, my pieces come to me from another dimension and designing them is the easiest thing I do, in my complicated life.

Why is it so easy?

Because I absolutely trust the process, I just let my mind relax, get out of the way, and tune into a different level of higher consciousness within myself. (This is true magic in action.) From this new place of elevation I see my stones and their shapes and depth of colour in a new and different way; not as solid objects but rather as visual sound. In this metaphor I am the conductor… the conduit for Divine flow. My craftsmen are my musicians, each with their own relationship with The Divine.

We are connected in the dance of life at a very deep and mystical level through the work we create together. My craftsmen have the power to translate my drawings from the second (graphic) dimension to the third (physical) dimension. To do this our psychic connection has to be very clear and strong.

How do I know this?

If I have heard the song and had the vision of what it is we are to create and see it clearly, so will they. If my vision is murky, so is theirs! When I design, I am in truth, creating “a song of power” for the wearer, which is in fact heard with the eyes. The resonance is then felt in the body and registers as “true.”

Some of my really powerful, large pieces…. the Sacred Objects… are symphonies rather than songs, and others… like my wands are a form of concerto…

I can't fool my craftsmen that I know what I'm doing, if I don't! They will never pick up my slack, their job is to translate my visions nothing more and nothing less will do.

I play with the shapes, colours and corresponding sounds, until I hear, feel and see the harmonic, whole and balanced. The minute I get it right, I know because in all the other places I feel it as flat, sharp or discordant.

What harmonic is that?

The harmonic is the one with the intention of the master plan.

What is the master plan?

It is balance held within chaos and harmony, despite or through discord. These create tension that inspires passion rather than anxiety and obvious power, inspiring memory and trust in the Eternal Self.

I write the music of my vision down by translating the sounds I see into a drawing, using the shapes and colours of the stones and the metal.

My Talismans harmonize with each other for two reasons. The first is because they are created with a common intention: to empower and balance the energy of the wearer. The second is because they are all from the same source: The Divine.

My pieces have been described by active mystics and their students as “Weapons of Light” because they are indeed magical tools of power.

I have held to my vision of Sacred Objects designed in Sacred Space for over 17 years. There have been many offers from a whole range of sources that would have accumulated me a little more wealth than I had at the time. Yet I have always been warned that to become engaged in “big business” was to be burned as an artist, dismissed as a student of the mysteries and agree to a shallow version of the world based on the superficial world of fashion.

I believe there is a new trend. The students of the mysteries are beginning to identify themselves. They are beginning to identify each other and they are everywhere.
